We have several top rated Apps, software, and databases that will assist you in point of care decision making and allow you to use calculators in a wide range of specialties.

 

UpToDate offers both mobile and web based access. It allows you to enter values in commonly used formulas to obtain numerical data, such as urinary protein excretion estimation. Other UpToDate calculators allow you to estimate the severity of a condition. Please note, UpToDate is available to NYMC students only. Access Medicine: Under the “quick reference tab,” Access Medicine offers a wide range of calculators for specific tests such as BMI to steroid conversions.

DynaMed: From the “calculator” tab at the top, you can access statistics calculators, decision trees, as well as the ability to search by medical specialty from Anesthesia to Rheumatology.

Lexicomp: From the Calculators tab, you can easily browse the alphabetical list of clinical calculators from conversions, infusions, to renal function estimation.

uCentral  provides a  calculator on the front page of their database which takes you to a list of many choices that will fit your immediate clinical needs.

EBMcalc is available through STAT!Ref underTools and Features tab. EBMcalc is a unique computerized medical reference and tool set. EBMcalc encompasses a wide array of pertinent medical formulae, clinical criteria sets and decision tree analysis tools used everyday by clinicians, medical educators, nurses and health care students of all types
